• Plant Metallurgist - Briton Ferry, Neath
  
• A specialty steel company in South Wales is expanding its production capabilities and requires a Plant Metallurgist who will be responsible for:
• Providing metallurgical and process engineering support to all manufacturing operations including raw materials preparation, billet plant, rolling mill and bar finishing.
• Implementing and supporting process control throughout the manufacturing operation.
• Working with the NX Manufacturing team to improve product quality, mill efficiency and process development.
• Participating in process audits.
• Developing, enhancing and managing the Company’s intellectual property.
• Assisting in supplier development and supply chain management efforts to standardize and improve total product quality.
• Educated at least to Bachelors degree level in metallurgy.
• 3 – 10 years experience in process and ferrous metallurgy (hot rolling of ferrous materials preferred).
• High level of skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office software and database programming and analysis.
• Six sigma certification, lean manufacturing and/or ISO lead auditor experience a plus (not a requirement).
• Project Management skills and experience a plus (not a requirement).
• Salary will be commensurate with experience.
